Latest news

2011 has been a really busy year so far, with two solo exhibitions (in Edinburgh & Yorkshire), and other group exhibitions and projects, and a house move! It has been an exciting time and I have been continuing to develop my mixed media approach to painting, by deepening my use of layering with screenprint, paint, and drawing techniques.

A lot of my work this year has been exploring fables and fairy stories, particularly the Grimm stories 'Hansel and Gretel', 'Cinderella' and 'Sleeping Beauty', and I have been utilizing the text from these tales in various forms. Many of the traditional stories have a deeper, sometimes more sinister meaning, and I have been exploring the duality of this.

I am looking forward to developing further in the coming months, and have new ideas and approaches to explore, and some new galleries to work with. So, watch this space!
